He is an expert in Financial Institutions M&A since the late 1980’s. At Citi, Federico headed the Investment Banking and FIG Team in Italy. His professional experience includes transactions in the insurance industry for mayor players like Aegon, Allianz, Assitalia, Banca di Roma, Aviva, BNL, INA, MMA, Uniorias, Unipol, and the Republic of Italy.
His significant wealth of transaction experience includes various forms of deal types from acquisition, disposals, financial and business restructuring, IPO, voluntary public tender, defence from hostile takeover and bank assurance partnerships.
DIETRICH VON STACKELBERG
Economist by background, Dietrich has been involved in the financial services industry for almost 30 years, with wide-ranging experience in investment and commercial banking as well as asset and wealth management business. This has included assignments in Japan, Taiwan, the UK, Germany and South Africa.
Dietrich headed Dresdner Kleinwort’s activities since 2002 in Southern and Eastern Africa focusing on Debt Capital Markets, Corporate Finance and Asset Management.
Following an assignment as a financial consultant in Zimbabwe for the World Bank, Dietrich was until 2011 an Executive Director in the wealth management business of UBS in South Africa.
DR. MICHAEL W. HOPF
Michael has 35 years of experience in Investment Banking & Capital Markets. He started his career with Citibank in New York. Following, he worked for Merril Lynch in London & Frankfurt. He was MD of Capital Markets of Metzler Bank, Managing Director of Nomura Corporate & Investment Banking activities in German-speaking countries and established Instinet ( A Reuters Company) in Germany, Switzerland & Austria as a leading broker to institutional clients. He gained extensive experience in capital markets, structured Finance. He was involved in the largest IPO’s in Germany (Deutsche Telekom AG, Lufthansa).
Michael’s current focus is with the aerospace & defense industry and financial institutions and FinTechs as their incumbents.
