Alexander von
Mellenthin, was born in South Africa and, after his German banking
studies and a trainee-management programme at Commerzbank
in Germany, held a management position with Standard Merchant
Bank in Johannesburg. He
subsequently had investment banking responsibility for German-speaking
Europe at S.G. Warburg and thereafter was appointed as head
of the Central European
corporate finance division of Yamaichi International. In
1994 Alexander von Mellenthin founded Mellenthin Corporate
Finance to specialise in international
corporate finance services. Alexander von Mellenthin has
been advisor to international companies such as Metro, SAB
Millers, Minimax, Commerzbank, Danone as well as German
Mittelstand companies.
